Plants That Work

How do you know which plants work in the sun? What about in the shade?

Let’s take it one step further… How do you know which plants work in the sun or shade, in your area? Plant tags offer some help, but they don’t take into consideration whether you’re a coastal or inland gardener.

Armstrong Garden Centers has taken that extra step by introducing, “Plants that Work”.

Top quality perennials selected for sun and shade garden environments. Matched for maximum performance to your area, available in 3 container sizes (1.8 pint, 3.7 quart, and 3 gallon).

Look for Plants that Work display racks, with signs labeled 'In the Sun' or 'In the Shade' atop each rack and on every plant label.

Here are a couple we recently planted, from the 'In the Sun' collection.
