The Next Generation of Clematis

Raymond Evison, the most eminent clematis breeder in the world, introduces the RHS Clematis Collection. This new line of super-performers includes four dazzling cultivars that will revolutionize the way clematis are used in the garden.

Bred to provide bold color and spectacular form, each of the four plants feature saucer-sized blooms, and are easy to grow and maintain. All create volumes of flowers covering almost the entire vine. Three bloom longer — from June to September — than any other clematis in the world. One blooms on both old and new wood, making it foolproof for novice pruners.

These compact plants grow 7 to 9 feet in the landscape, offer a high bloom count, and are exceptionally vigorous and disease resistant.

Rosemoor™ (Clematis 'Evipo002'(N) PPAF)… A delight for experienced and novice gardeners alike. The foolproof Rosemoor blooms from May to September on both old and new growth, making it easy to maintain and prune. This deep-red beauty features oversized flowers that measure 5 to 6 inches in diameter, while the vine can climb up to 9 feet. Rosemoor can be successfully grown on pergolas and archways as a transition point within the garden.

Hyde Hall™ (Clematis 'Evipo009'(N) PPAF)… A prolific bloomer. Hyde Hall™ will burst with glorious off-white blooms as early as May, and the flurry will continue through June. The plant’s large flowers measure 5 to 7 inches in diameter, while the vine grows up to 7 feet. Hyde Hall is an excellent container plant. It can be successfully grown near the home and outdoor patio, where the vivid white blooms could be enjoyed at night under the moonlight.

Harlow Carr™ (Clematis 'Evipo004'(N) PPAF)… A garden wonder. The Harlow Carr™ is the longest blooming clematis in the world, blooming from June into October in zone 4. The plant’s purple-blue flowers measure 4 inches in diameter and feature twisted sepals. The vine grows to 10 feet. The long-blooming Harlow Carr offers extended garden beauty, and can be mixed with David Austin® Roses or well-trained shrubs.
Wisley™ (Clematis 'Evipo001'(N) PPAF)… This classic rich-blue clematis has a Jackmanii look, but with the vigor and free-flowering habit of a viticella cultivar. Blooming from June to September, Wisley™ offers delicate-looking blooms that measure 4 to 5 inches in diameter and a vine that grows up to 9 feet. Gardeners can extend the beauty of their garden by interplanting Wisley™ with roses.
